Attending the University of Idaho, Washington State University, or New Saint Andrew’s? If so, we welcome you to Transitions at the Moscow Church of the Nazarene, an active group in the church and the Moscow-Pullman community. From weekly Bible studies for men and women, to church and social activities throughout the week, we seek to worship the Lord, build the body and reach the lost.
This transition period in life can be full of choices. Likely this is the first time you’ve been on your own and/or away from your parents. Our goal is to grow your relationship with God during this transition period in life, and prepare you to lead others to know, love and serve God faithfully.
If you are 18-30 years old and would like to know more, we invite you to join us. Activities we have planned for this year include:
Transportation to/from church or our activities an issue? We can fix it! We also are available to you 24/7 to answer questions or provide an ear to listen. If you have questions, please give us a call at (208) 596-9327, shoot us an e-mail at transitions@moscownaz.org or visit us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/joni.kirk or http://www.facebook.com/ian.kirk. We also invite you to join our group on Facebook at http://groups.to/transitions/. We look forward to seeing you this fall!

Excerpt:
The Power to Choose
Freedom. Out from under your parents’ roof (mostly). You have the freedom to make choices about your life that don’t necessarily mesh with choices your parents would make for you. No curfew. No one checking on your friends or to see that your homework is done. Chores? What chores? Balanced diet? Yeah, Ramen has some green specks.
Yes, college life holds some immediate and alluring perks that can provide a dizzying effect – similar to a kid in a candy shop. In addition to the choices, you have the freedom to ask questions. Why do my parents believe this? Is this really the path that I want to take, or am I just trying to please someone else? What happens if…!
At times like this, it’s easy to have an “early life” crisis because most young adults don’t know how to be free. While many of those choices and questions can be bounced off people (like us) who care about you and have your best interest at heart, some decisions are made on a journey of exploration that you have to take on your own.
Though the road may seem rough at times, remember this: God is not the kind of God who is going to zap you if you do something wrong. He loves you. He wants you to be certain of that. No matter what you do or where you do it, he loves you! Live and make decisions with that confidence in mind. God loves you. He wants you to be free.
