- Kids Worship Time
Children’s Church Program ~ Sunday 10AM – 12PM
Cross Training is a Workshop Rotation Program. This means that we rotate each group of students to a different workshop each week. We study the same subject or story for about 4-6 weeks. This is called a Unit. Each workshop teaches a lesson through a different teaching and learning style. By presenting lessons from the Bible in so many different ways, we know our kids gain a thorough understanding of God’s Word and are able to retain the information and apply it in their lives.
The kids begin Cross Training in the ‘Big Room’ every Sunday at 10:00 am after Sunday School. The kids will have a worship time from 10-10:15am in the Big Room, have breakfast in the ‘Dining Hall’ from 10:15 – 10:30, and then come to the sanctuary to join in worship time with the adults until 10:45. At 10:45 the kids will move back down to the Children’s Wing of the church to begin their scripture memorization, and Cross Training activities for the remainder of the time. The kids are split into groups: preschool/kindergarten, Grades 1st~3rd Grade & 4th~6th Grade.
The different workshops we offer are: Drama, Movie Theater, Kitchen, Art/Crafts, Computer Lab, Story Telling, Games, Cooking, and Missions. The groups will spend one Sunday in different workshops throughout the entire Unit. During the Unit, the groups are given a bible verse to memorize as well.
Currently we are working the the ‘Beatitudes’ learning what they mean and how to apply them to daily life as a kid! Next, the kids will have a rotation called ‘Some Son’ taking us through the holiday season. In this rotation, they will learn about Jesus. Why He came to earth. How He grew up. The Meaning of Christmas. They will be doing carpentry, having a birthday party for Jesus, working on a family tree, and other very important lessons! You won’t want to miss these rotations!
This style of Children’s Church is very successful, creative and fun. Our kids love the new format! Hope you can join us for a great time of fun as we learn about Jesus!
